Garden Design Shropshire

You do not have to have a garden design. In fact the majority of our customers know exactly what they want and do not need a garden design and we simply proceed with the landscaping phase.

If you have a rough idea of what you want we can offer you a very basic outline plan at no cost.

However if you do want a detailed garden design as in the examples below, then we have two garden designers who can produce full scale drawings. Depending on your budget and requirements these can be colour rendered or even drawn in 3D as shown in the last example at the bottom of the page.

This is very time intensive and the quotation for this work would be based on the size of the garden and the level of detail required in the drawing. Note that every one of our garden designs is totally unique.

Whether you are looking for a traditional natural garden design or a modern contemporary garden design, then we can help.

We deal with all types of project and all sizes of garden. Whether you have a small garden or a large garden, we can offer a design and garden landscaping service to suit your needs.

If you are happy with the quotation, the garden designer will arrange a time with you to carry out a garden survey.

Garden Survey

A garden survey is an integral part of the garden design process. The survey will usually take between 1 and 2 hours depending on the size of the plot.

Accurate measurements are taken from the site in order to complete a detailed scale drawing. Changes in level are recorded using laser levels and the positions of drains, taps, and electrics are also noted.

A photographic record of the site is then made to e.g. show the relation of the site to the surrounding area, and also make a visual record of any particular issues such as drainage problems.

If the project is to include a planting plan, soil samples are also taken to allow a full chemical analysis of the soil in order to determine the best plants for the soil-type.

Concept Drawings & Final Plans

Once the survey is complete we can then draw a scale plan of your garden. Using information from our discussions we can put together one or more concept drawings. These will give you the first glimpse of what your new garden will look like.

We then visit you with the concept drawings to discuss any changes or variations on the ideas. At this stage we will also discuss the choice of materials with you.

Once we have decided on any changes to the concept drawings and decided what materials to use, we will then go ahead and prepare the final scale drawings that will be used by the landscape team to construct your new garden.

The drawings can range from a basic ink drawing to a water-colour rendered scale drawing of the entire site, we can go into as much detail as is required.

Once you are 100% happy with the design, we can then progress to the landscape phase of the project.

The garden designer will present you with the garden design and discuss any changes you require to the garden plan. At this point we will show you a series of brochures so that you can choose the materials you require.

We cover the whole of Shropshire including Telford, Shrewsbury, Albrighton, Bridgnorth, Church Stretton, Cleobury Mortimor, Craven Arms, Ellesmere, Ironbridge, Ludlow, Market Drayton, Much Wenlock, Newport, Oswestry, Shawbury, Shifnal, Wem, and Whitchurch.
