The Brief
The customer required a contemporary design featuring a large seating area for entertaining. A separate shed and utility area was required and this was to be partially hidden from the main garden.
Our Solution
We started by removing all of the current surface material including the lawn, old patio slabs and unwanted plants and shrubs.
The patio area was split into two areas joined by a path. Bowland Stone Windsor Paving in Welsh Slate was used for the paving and to match this contemporary looking slab, welsh slate chippings in plum were laid in the areas either side of the path.
The copers and pier caps on the existing wall between the main garden and the utility area were replaced with new charcoal versions to match the paving.
A new shed base was laid in the utility area and trellis installed between the two garden areas to aid privacy.
Finally a new lawn was laid to complete this very simple but effective contemporary garden makeover.
