Large Block Paving Drives, Shropshire

Large Drive Block Paving - Whitchurch, Shropshire
This drive was over 200 square metres. We used a Bradstone Autumn Mix block to match the brickwork of the house. This house had no existing drive and the ground level was 6 inches below the garage entrance. We built up the drive in layers using a base layer of cruched stone, a mid layer of 40mm hardcore and a top layer of 20mm to dust hardcore giving the drive a firm footing for the blocks.

Large Drive Block Paving - Edgebolton, Shropshire
This large 135 square metre drive stretched up the side of and in front of the property in a large arc. The blocks used were Bradstone brindles. Note how the pattern is continued in the new drain cover.

Large Drive Block Paving - Shawbury, Shropshire
This was a large but very straight-forward 150 square metre drive. The old drive was a gravel/soil mix so we had to ensure there was a thicker base of hardcore to prevent sinkage. Eaton brindle concrete blocks were used with charcoal kerbs to edge the beds.
