Innovative Circular Garden, Shropshire

The Brief
To take a square garden and create some sort of shape and style to it so it does not look square. Use natural materials and allocate large areas for entertaining.
Our Solution
An innovative circular design was created for this garden. We removed all existing material. The old concrete post and gravel board retaining wall was replaced with a new wall made from Bradstone natural sandstone walling.
The walling was continued to form the boundary of a small quarter circle fish pond. Pond liner was installed and fixed under the coping and the pump and filter system were installed. These are completely hidden from view but accessible for easy maintenance.
The natural material theme was continued with a 3.3 metre natural sandstone circle with paths radiating out to the patio area.
The patio areas were installed using a Bradstone riven paving range that has a very good colour match to natural sandstone, as using sandstone for the patio itself would have exceeded the budget.
The circle quadrants were then turfed and planted to complete the makeover.
