A Garden for Privacy, Shropshire

The Brief
To create a feeling of seclusion and privacy in a garden that is currently very open and overlooked.
Our Solution
First we carried out a full site survey and a design proposal. After going through the design proposal with the customer we then drew a full scale drawing of what the new garden would look like allowing the customer to make any alteration prior to the landscaping phase of the project.
We then started clearing the site and started the actual landscaping.
We created a garden within a garden. The outer garden consists of walkways connecting the house, driveway, and new shed to the inner garden.
A large hand built timber pergola leads you from the outer garden into the inner garden.
In the inner garden, we built a patio, a barbecue area, and a millstone water feature. We also installed a hand-built rustic bench and a 8' by 6' summerhouse.
We managed to fit a lot of features into a relatively small garden and the customer was very impressed with the result.
