The Brief
To solve a long-standing drainange problem and create a garden with a large patio and lawned area.
Our Solution
A site survery was carried out and our qualified garden designer met the customer and detailed drawings were completed prior to landscaping work. Once the plans had been agreed and finalised, the landscaping phase began.
This new property had no garden, just a large area of barren turf and soil. We started by solving the drainange problem. Heringbone drainange ditches were dug across the garden, leading the water to a drainage sump down a bank, and away from the property.
We then lay a Bradstone patio that covered almost 100 square metres. Although huge, this was the right size in relation to the size of the huge garden and gave the customer lots of space for entertaining.
A large timber pergola was built and a small fish pond installed complete with pump and low maintenance filtration system.
Finally a planting plan was devised and the garden was planted out.
