The Brief
To somehow deal with the problem of a very uneven garden and a create a new practical low maintenance garden with less lawn and more seating areas.
Our Solution
We removed everything in the current garden and created two levels, a main patio level, and a lawn and secondary seating area. The levels were sepeated by a retaining wall and steps made from sleepers.
The main patio area was created using Village Stone 18" buff and red slabs.
The garden area is a virtual rectangle so we added interest by creating a circular lawn with brick edges to allow easy mowing.
We then laid a secondary patio but this time used red slabs to contrast the buff slabs used in the main patio. These were laid with a zig-zag edge to contrast with the circular lawn.
Timberstone sleepers were used to connect the patio areas to the lawn and top soil was added to the areas on the outside of the lawn for bedding.
