The Brief
This was one of our largest landscape projects running over several phases. When the customer moved into the property, the rear garden was so overgrown he couldn't see where the garden ended. Our brief was to reclaim the garden and create a rear and front garden that both the customer and ourselves could be proud of.
Our Solution
The first job was to completely clear all of the overgrown bushes, weeds and climbers that had overtaken the garden space.
We then installed a new perimeter fence and the next task was to dig back the bank that was next to the rear of the house to a sufficient depth that a brick retaining wall could be built and a patio installed. A brick arch was built from the new wall to the house.
We also designed, made and installed a series of wrought iron powder coated railings to sit on top of one section of walling.
In the rear garden, a corner patio and retaining wall were built and the remainder of the garden was turfed.
We then turned out attention to the front garden. We submitted a design which was approved. We built a series of curved steps running up to the house with a small retaining wall and pillars either side. Either side of the steps a circle of gravel with heathers and conifers finished the design.
