Sandstone Paving - Hinstock, Shropshire

This period property in Hinstock was lacking a patio and the customers preference was to use natural materials.

After looking at all the options available, natural Indian sandstone was chosen in the Autumn Brown colour.

As the area to be paved had previously been used as a lawned area, we removed the surface material to a sufficient depth to allow for a good layer of hardcore to provide a solid surface for the paving.

This range of slabs is available in patio packs of five different sizes. Once finished, the patio looked as if it had been down for years.

Natural Indian Sandstone Paving - Fitz, near Bomere Heath, Shropshire

A large feature patio of sandstone paving was required at a listed barn conversion.

The ground sloped off from the building so in order to get a level patio, we installed a small sleeper retainer and built the ground up to the required level with hardcore.

We could then lay these fantastic looking natural stone paving slabs in a random pattern as requested. The colour used here is Revena.

Note that natural sandstone is available in a wide range of colours and we can source the colour you require from the largest importer of natural stone in Shropshire at trade price.

Natural Indian Sandstone Paving - Edgmond, Shropshire

This property had a very small and impractical gravel patio area.

The customer required a larger natural stone patio designed to wrap around an existing conservatory and continue the style with natural stone paths to the front of the property.

The ground was taken down and levelled with a mini-digger and hardcore laid. The ground sloped away from the house so in order to retain a level area for the patio, we constructed a low retainer finished with sandstone pave edging.

The Autumn Brown paving was laid in a random pattern with cut pieces around the conservatory, and also within the new recessed drain cover.

Note the edge of the patio was finished with natural sandstone setts. These are available in random sizes and colours and perfectly complement the colours of the natural stone paving.

Sandstone Look-a-like - Crosshouses, Shropshire

Here we levelled the bottom corner of the garden and installed a large arc of paving to catch the sun at the end of the day.

Sandstone brick was used to match in with the paving and the short bricks also make it easier to get the required arc.

This is not sandstone. This is actually Bradstone Old Riven paving in Autumn Cotswold colour. This paving has a a very thin layer of natural stone over the concrete slab to give the look of sandstone but unlike natural sandstone the colour may fade over the years.

Natural Sandstone Patio - Telford, Shropshire

In this garden, all the old paving was removed and replaced with natural sandstone paving.

We also installed a natural sandstone stone circle at the end of the garden and linked the two with stepping stones in the interconnecting lawn.

The sandstone patio and the sandstone circle both in Modac colour were laid flush with the lawn so no lawn edge strimming would be required.

Natural Sandstone Paving - Telford, Shropshire

This garden featured a tiered natural sandstone patio in the Mint Fossil colour

The two levels were separated with a line of natural sandstone bricks to match in with the paving. These materials are not cheap but if you want something with some colour, sandstone can look fantastic although it does have some maintenance issues.

Natural Indian Limestone Paving - Lilleshall, Shropshire

This is top of the range natural limestone paving. This is a natural stone product available in patio packs of mixed sizes.

The paving in this example has had two coats of natural stone sealer to give the product a wet darker look but sealing is optional.

The colour used here is Black Kadapa
